Our Mission: The Valley Mountain Bikers and Hikers is a recreational trails advocacy group dedicated to increasing the quantity and quality of sustainable trails for hikers and mountain bikers throughout the Matanuska-Susitna Valley. Our Vision: The Matanuska-Susitna Valley has a world class trail system for hikers and mountain bikers, with an extensive network of safe, accessible, sustainable trails throughout our urban and rural communities as well as backcountry areas, enjoyed year-round by people of all ages.

We will use the funds for our trail building and maintenance projects and adult and youth programs:Trail Building
o Plan and build new sustainable trails for mountain bikers and hikers
o Maintain and improve existing trails for mountain bikers and hikers
o Promote sustainable trail building through training and consulting
Trail Advocacy and Education
o Promote the benefits of hiking and mountain biking
o Advocate for sustainable trails for mountain bikers and hikers
o Teach kids how to ride and hike and enjoy the outdoors (SprocKidz Summer Program)
Trail Outings and Events
o Organize hikes and rides for all ages such as the Hike Challenge and Moonlit Miles Bike Rides
o Sponsor events and races such as the Thursday Night Run Series
