How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference

Pick.Click.Give. is a major source of our donations. It is a convenient, one-stop place where you can make a huge difference to improve the way our library functions. Tok has no local government and is not part of a borough, so we have no local tax funding like most of the larger and some of the smaller libraries in the state. The Tok Library has no paid employees; it is manned entirely by volunteers, so your donation goes directly to our program expenses. Tok is the coldest year-round inhabited community in North America, and our fuel, electric, and Internet prices are very high. We need your support!

Our library space is too small to accommodate our children's reading program or all the summer travelers wanting to use our computers and WiFi. Travelers--and locals--currently end up sitting on stools and the floor and in good weather outside in order to use the WiFi. We have purchased some land in an ideal location with the goal of eventually building a new, larger, purpose-built library; but we don't have money for the construction. Every extra penny we can scrape up is saved towards the new building. You could be part of helping us to realize that goal.
