About
Since 1964 the Musk Ox Farm has strived to bring gentle and sustainable agriculture to the far north. Our founder imagined families keeping musk oxen in areas where they were indigenous as a means of bringing cash income into a subsistence economy.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Our community is the heart and soul of the worlds largest captive herd of musk oxen. For over 50 years, we have been striving to bring geographically appropriate gentle and sustainable agriculture to the far north. We have built this project on the strong backs and soft underwool, qiviut, of these magnificent ice age survivors. Pick.Click.Give. helps our many supporters, friends, and family connect with and contribute to the ongoing excellent health and welfare for these amazing animals and our hometown project that is uniquely one of a kind in the entire world.
