Zach Gordon Youth Services mission is connecting youth - engaging community. The Friends of Zach Gordon supporting the mission by supporting the cost of cultural programming, the Jesuit volunteer, emergency needs for youth, and annual financial support for the organization's emergency shelter, transitional living, and housing navigation services for homeless and housing insecure youth. The drop-in center provides a safe place for youth to gather with supportive adults, eat healthy meals, friends, and get connected to necessary services. Shéiyi X̱aat Hit (Spruce Root House) shelter and transitional living, provides a safe and supportive short-term placement for runaway or homeless youth. While there, they receive case management and referral services, and restorative work is done with them and their family whenever possible so they may return home. On the transitional living side, youth transition into adulthood with the help of supportive adults who teach them life skills such as cooking, budgeting, employment skills and more. The housing navigators focus on the Rapid Rehousing program for young adults to live in their own places in the community. Zach Gordon is the only organization in Juneau providing these services to youth. Your support makes all the difference!
