About
FYA (The Door) - An emergency shelter to youth aged 6-18 with a safe place to sleep, home cooked meals, clothing, educational and vocational support, and connections to community resources to help youth find stability. Additionally, FYA offers drop-in and supportive services to youth not in our care, but in need or resources. FYA (Evolve) - Homelessness among young adults is a complex issue influenced by various factors. Many have faced significant hardships, family instability, mental health challenges, and limited access to education and employment opportunities. As a result, they often find themselves in precarious living situations, struggling to make ends meet. Evolve is a program designed to address the gap among 18-24 year-olds in Fairbanks. Our mission is to provide transitional support that empowers them to achieve stability and independence. FYA (extended reach) - Street outreach is a program geared towards locating teen encampments or unsafe living situations youth find themselves in. This is an additional resource for helping locate missing / runaway youth.
