Pacific Community of Alaska (PCA) is a community-based organization dedicated to serving and supporting Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islander (NHPI) communities throughout Alaska. Founded to address the unique needs of our populations in the state, PCA works to advocate for NHPI communities, provide avenues to be healthy and thriving, preserve cultural lifeways, and provide essential resources to all community members. The organization serves as a vital hub for NHPI communities living in Alaska, which includes people from Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia. Through its various programs and initiatives, PCA strives to create a supportive network that helps community members navigate life in Alaska while maintaining strong connections to their cultural identities. Our 3 Programs are: Health and Wellness Program Mental Health Program Civic Engagement & Advocacy Through direct service, community events, and talanoa (sharing stories) sessions, PCA has established itself as an important resource for NHPI communities across Alaska, particularly in Anchorage and other rural areas where larger populations NHPIs reside.
