About
MY House provides a hand-up, not a handout, to homeless and at-risk youth ages 14–24 throughout the Mat-Su Valley and Alaska. We connect young people to a network of caring individuals, community partners, and agencies while providing individualized case management and wraparound services designed to help them build stability and self-sufficiency. Our services include transitional housing, recovery and mental health support, substance use treatment and referrals, employment and job training, education assistance, meals, clothing, hygiene and laundry services, health care connections, legal support, and other essential resources. Through our Drop-In Center and job-training businesses, Gathering Grounds Cafe and Redemption Apparel & Thrift, youth gain real-world employment experience, life skills, confidence, and a sense of purpose. With the support of our community, partners, volunteers, and donors, we help youth overcome barriers and create a path toward healthy, independent futures. By addressing youth homelessness early and providing support when it matters most, we can help break the cycle and prevent chronic homelessness in adulthood.
