About
Lumen Christi High School is a 7 – 12 grade ministry of St. Benedict Parish and strives to provide an education based on the Roman Catholic Church. As a Roman Catholic school under the auspices of the Archdiocese of Anchorage-Juneau, Lumen Christi seeks to prepare students to interact in a global society by nurturing respect for life and an acceptance of responsibility to self and community. Lumen Christi is open to students from all or no faith backgrounds - all are welcome! Our academic curriculum is presented from a perspective that encourages the balanced development of a student’s spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social and physical needs. We create an environment that allows students to develop and use all their gifts and talents while promoting service to others. The school boasts Division 1 and 2A championship level sports and a 100% on-time graduation rate. 90% of our students go on to college while the remaining 10% attend trade school, enter the workforce or choose to serve our country through military enlistment. Annually our students complete over 5,000 "Faith in Action" hours giving back to the school, their parish and the community at large.

Like all private schools, Lumen Christi relies on fundraising to close the gap between tuition charged and the actual cost to educate students. Donations made through Pick.Click.Give allow the school to provide financial scholarships to families; support teacher professional development and student learning (e.g., updating technology in the classrooms and curriculum materials ); and address operational and/or maintenance needs within the school physical plant.
