About
Kodiak Maritime Museum has been working to preserve and exhibit Alaska's maritime history since 1996. The museum has created numerous exhibits and interpretive displays in Kodiak, and has traveled several exhibits to other venues around the state. Our latest exhibit documented the history of Alaska's Limited Entry Program. We also produce the annual Kodiak Harbor Lights Festival Boat Parade each December.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Pick.Click.Give contributors have been helping Kodiak Maritime Museum every year since PCG began in 2009, and that support has been directed to many projects ranging from oral histories to the Thelma C Interpretive Exhibit. PCG support also helps to pay our annual administrative costs, including utilities and staff salaries, which are often not covered by project directed grants, but which are a necessary cost of pursuing our mission to recognize, preserve, and interpret Alaska's maritime history and culture. Beyond helping KMM's own programs, the PCG program allows people all across Alaska to participate in a collective effort to create a better social and cultural infrastructure for the state through community based non-profits.
