Kenai Peninsula Animal Lovers Rescue KPAL

Soldotna, AK • EIN: 83-3038642

KPAL works to reduce the dog overpopulation on the Kenai Peninsula while saving as many lives as possible, one dog at a time.

About

Kenai Peninsula Animal Lovers Rescue was born in 2019 when a group of animal lovers came together and decided to make a difference. KPAL, through its fosters and volunteers, has placed more than 1000 dogs on the Peninsula in loving homes. The dogs are initially placed with fosters and provided veterinary care, food, medicine, beds, leashes, toys, kennels, potty pads and any other supplies needed. They remain with fosters until they are adopted. Most importantly, all KPAL dogs are spayed/neutered as soon as it can safely be done with the goal of reducing the number of homeless, abused, abandoned or neglected dogs in our community.

How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference

KPAL could not do what it does without support from the community. Running a rescue is expensive: insurance, licensing, veterinary care, food, transportation, grooming, training are just a few of the costs KPAL has to cover. No one at KPAL receives compensation of any kind other than reimbursements for expenses paid from their own pockets. All of your donations go to the dogs' care. Your dollars not only pay for the dogs' needs but will also help KPAL host more spay/neuter clinics so community members can get their pets altered at an affordable cost. Donations pay for a mother who comes in with puppies to be spayed at no cost to the owner. They fund KPAL's Senior and Special Needs Program which is provided as an incentive to adopt elderly and special needs dogs. Every dollar you give makes all the difference in a dog's life.
