To offer compassionate support and resources that help people & those who care for them live well through all stages of dying.
About
For more than 45 years, Hospice of Anchorage has helped individuals and families face the realities of end-of-life, dying, and grief. As the only non‑profit, volunteer‑driven, non‑medical hospice in the municipality, we fill a unique and essential gap by supporting anyone with a terminal diagnosis, without requiring a six‑month prognosis. Our team walks alongside each client with practical end-of-life support, emotional presence, and companionship, all while they negotiate their chosen path. When needs fall outside our scope, we connect individuals to trusted community resources. Our work is deeply human, rooted in the belief that these moments deserve to be acknowledged, honored, and talked about so that people may live more fully. We are here to be a steady presence through it all, ensuring no one has to navigate these experiences alone.
