About
For over 30 years, Fairbanks Shakespeare Theatre has enriched the cultural life of Interior Alaska by providing accessible, high-quality theatre; fostered community connection through shared artistic experiences; engaged and educated youth; supported local artists; and expanded equitable access to the arts. Through both artistic excellence and community-centered approach, FST has created lasting social, educational, and economic benefits for the region. FST utilizes theatre as a vehicle for humanity, compassion, and creative expression by removing barriers to arts participation and bringing high-quality cultural experiences directly into the community. We are committed to keeping ticket prices affordable, particularly for families. As such, we offer free admission to Elementary School Aged students for our summer shows, discounted tickets to Seniors, Students, Military, and First Responders, and a $195 discount on drama camp tuition to all students enrolled in the Free and Reduced School Lunch Program. FST plays an active role in the Interior arts ecosystem. We are members of Fairbanks Arts Association and Explore Fairbanks, and collaborate with fellow non-profits through cross-promotion on social media, free ad space in our programs, and ticket donations for community fundraisers, reflecting our belief that a thriving arts community depends on mutual support and shared investment.
