About
Fairbanks Rescue Mission is a Christ-centered organization serving individuals and families in need throughout Interior Alaska. We provide emergency shelter, nutritious meals, supportive services, recovery resources, transitional housing, and programs designed to help people move from crisis toward stability and greater independence. Our mission is rooted in the love of Christ and a commitment to serve each person with compassion, dignity, and respect. We recognize that homelessness and hardship are often connected to many different challenges, which is why our services focus on meeting immediate needs while also helping individuals address barriers to long-term stability. Through the generosity of our community, Fairbanks Rescue Mission provides more than a safe place to sleep or a meal to eat. We offer hope, encouragement, practical support, and opportunities for people to take meaningful steps toward rebuilding their lives. Your Pick.Click.Give. donation helps Fairbanks Rescue Mission provide Christ-centered care, shelter, meals, and supportive services to people experiencing homelessness and hardship throughout Interior Alaska.This past year, Fairbanks Rescue Mission served 650 people, including 35 families, 59 Veterans, and 86 seniors age 62 and older. Of those served, 303 were first-time clients who came to us for help for the first time.
Providing nutritious meals is also a vital part of our ministry. During the year, we served 58,285 meals and gratefully received 42,317 pounds of donated food from our generous community.
