Climbers Alliance of Southcentral Alaska
Anchorage, AK • EIN: 84-3121982
Our mission is to promote and protect sustainable rock climbing and responsible development in south-central Alaska.
About
The Climbers Alliance of Southcentral Alaska (CASA) is a small nonprofit based in the Anchorage area dedicated to the sustainability and accessibility of rock climbing in southcentral. We operate in climbing areas such as Hatcher Pass, Weiner Lake, and the Seward Highway, among many more! Some of our projects include trail work, trash cleanups, community building events, and most recently, replacing the aged outhouse in Archangel Valley with a new composting toilet. We are affiliated with the Access Fund as a Local Climbing Organization and as Joint Members. CASA was founded in 2017 (and incorporated in 2019) and consists of 4 board members and countless volunteers from our community. We have no paid employees, and operate 100% on donations and grant awards. Every penny counts, as does every volunteer hour! If you're interested in getting involved, email us at climbersallianceak@gmail.com to get in touch.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
As a small organization with a large scope, our expenses range from annual fees to the state, to purchasing snacks to thank our volunteers, and to equipment for trail work or other climbing area improvements. As much as we hate to admit it, more donations help us to make more of a difference.
