About
Chugach Mountain Bike Riders is a non-profit organization that was formed to bring mountain bike trails to the Eagle River/Chugiak community. Construction on the trails started mid-August 2016. Over 1250 hours were donated by volunteers to help cut backslope, remove hazards, smooth trail and install signs to make these trail happen. Phase one trails opened June 2017. Phase 2 build started July 2018 and was opened October 2018.The Mirror Lake Singletrack phase 2 trails opened October 2018, providing a total of 5 miles preferred-use mountain bike trails. Multiuse trails offer an additional 2.5 miles of hiking and biking opportunities. Our current project is Ben's Bike Playground, a trailhead bike park, coming to Mirror Lake Park June of 2022, complete with jump lines, skills loop, and pump track.
