Catholic Social Services operates 9 multi-faceted programs including 3 emergency shelters, a food pantry, a resource and navigation center, housing case management service, services for individuals with disabilities, a refugee resettlement and immigration program, and more. Our programs are Brother Francis Shelter, Clare House, Complex Care, Third Avenue Resource & Navigation Center, Family Disability Services, Behavior Health Services, Refugee Assistance & Immigration Services, St. Francis House Food Pantry, and Supportive Services for Veteran Families. Last year, Catholic Social Services served and helped over 10,440 people across all programs.

Your donation helps Brother Francis Shelter provide case management services, referrals for employment and permanent housing, and treatment options for alcohol and substance abuse. 799 men and women slept safely at Brother Francis Shelter last year.
Clare House provides safe refuge to hundreds of homeless women with children in Anchorage. Last year, Catholic Social Services served 369 women and children at Clare House. Our dedicated Meals Teams volunteers prepared and served 92,301 meals to those staying at Clare House. 64% of shelter guests were children.
Family Disability Services supports families and individuals with respite services and skills-training for people who experience developmental disabilities. Last year alone, Catholic Social Services helped 42 clients with direct services.
Refugee Assistance & Immigration Services provides a bridge for refugees who fled their countries due to the tragedies of war and persecution. RAIS assists refugees in obtaining financially sustainable lifestyles in which the family’s basic needs are met long-term. In FY25, RAIS welcomed 283 new arrivals.
St. Francis House Food Pantry served 4,775 families in FY25, distributing over 767,978 pounds of food to 13,953 people.
Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) is a case management program for Veterans and their families experiencing homelessness or at-risk of homelessness. During FY25 330 clients were served by SSVF.
