About
The Alaska Ski Educational Foundation (ASEF) was Incorporated in 1973 to: • Establish, administer and promote an education program devoted to the development and training of skiers as a means of healthful recreation and physical fitness. • Stimulate in Alaska interest in skiing competition in schools, colleges and universities. • Give encouragement, coaching and instruction to skiers. • Help provide Alaska skiing organizations with funding to promote long-term, tangible projects that benefit youth skiers. Grant proposals for funding to pay salaries are not allowed. The foundation is recognized as a tax-exempt organization under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to any of the Alaska Ski Educational Foundation (ASEF) funds may be made either online or by mail.

We typically have about $10K to distribute in grant funds for the entire year. These funds are used for equipment purchases, trail work, and ski equipment. This funding doesn't go nearly far enough to satisfy all the requests that we get. Funding from Pick, Click, Give will allow us to improve skiing opportunities throughout Alaska.
