To promote responsible parrot ownership and to provide foster care and adoption services for abandoned and unwanted parrots.

About

The Alaska Bird Club is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in the State of Alaska. Our mission is to promote responsible avian ownership through education and when possible, to provide rescue and adoption services for abandoned and unwanted pet birds in communities across Alaska.

How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference

Funds raised during Pick.Click.Give. will allow us to continue to provide education to new and existing bird owners, pay for expenses incurred through our Adopt-A-Bird program and the foster care of pet birds, as well as monthly operating expenses for equipment storage and communication. By educating people on parrot ownership, we enhance the lives of the birds and their people.

The Alaska Bird Club is also a companion bird resource for other groups in Alaska, such as Friends of Pets, Abused Women's Aid In Crisis (AWAIC), and various animal control organizations. Often these groups find themselves in need of temporary or permanent homes for pet birds and we are the go-to organization for such needs.
