About
It is the mission of Wasilla Area Seniors, Inc. (WASI) to enable Matanuska-Susitna Valley seniors to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. Since 1981, WASI has been serving Matanuska-Susitna Valley Seniors. Today, WASI programs and services include Meals on Wheels, Senior Center meals, 128 units of afforadable senior housing, senior fitness courses and a senior gym, and chore and respite services, with many additional services available as well. WASI is governed by a high functioning, volunteer board of directors. We follow GAAP and best practices in the provision of services. We have been recognized for our excellent services and have been voted Best of the Valley in Senior Care for the past five consecutive years.

Because you care, seniors have proper nutrition, a place to meet and enjoy friends, and safe, decent, affordable housing. You keep seniors healthy. You help provide in-home care when they've lost some of their physical abilities. Mostly, your gift helps seniors live independently in the community and home they choose, with the dignity and respect our elders deserve.
