How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference

Valley Performing Arts produces six distinct theatre productions each season with an emphasis on family-friendly presentations. With the assistance of over 500 volunteers each season, we touch the lives of thousands of patrons through quality live theatrical performances. Volunteers form the backbone of everything that we do, providing services for every aspect of production, both on stage and behind the scenes. VPA also reaches out to the youth of our community each summer by offering educational experiences that focus on the fundamentals of theatre production and are designed to inspire young people to gain an appreciation for the fine arts, and in particular, the theatre arts. VPA also gives back to our community through our Preview Night program, which provides complimentary tickets to over twenty non-profit organizations that have clients that would enjoy a night at the theatre but due to financial or personal circumstances would not be able to attend a performance. We support the community by being a seasonal drop off site for the Toys for Tots and sponsoring other various Christmas charities. Valley Performing Arts consistently provides quality live entertainment all season long to valley residents of all ages, and we provide an opportunity to hundreds of volunteers to participate in, and support, an organization that is one of the oldest, continuously operating community theatres in the state of Alaska. We provide a creative outlet for actors, builders, artists, designers, seamstresses, musicians, and beyond, to collaborate with the shared goal of providing entertainment, enlightenment and edification to the community through performative art. VPA is celebrating over 50 years of providing quality live theatre in the Mat-Su Valley! We are proud of the positive impact that we have in the community and are always looking for ways to enhance the gift of theatre to those we serve.
