The mission of Threshold Services, Inc. is to provide work and training opportunities for people with employment barriers who reside in the Kodiak Island Borough. Threshold employs individuals with mental and/or physical disabilities to process recyclable materials. This product is then shipped off-island, resulting in less waste disposed in the communitys landfill.

In 1985, Threshold Services, Inc. was incorporated as a non-profit to provide work and training opportunities for individuals with mental and/or physical barriers to employment. Over the past 30 years, our programs have grown through successful grant administration, negotiation of business contracts, receipt of membership dues, and strong community support. Locally, volunteers give generously of their time, individuals and businesses provide financial support, and Threshold partners with several agencies that help us achieve our mission. Threshold continually strives to diversify funding in the pursuit of long-term sustainability. PICK.CLICK.GIVE contributions will further broaden Thresholds financial support base. Donations will be used to expand the services we provide in our effort to continually assist individuals experiencing disabilities with employment and training opportunities.
