Alaska Center for the Book: Mission Statement. The Alaska Center for the Book, an affiliate of the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress, is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization celebrating the richness and diversity of language. We were founded in 1991 to stimulate public interest in literacy throughout Alaska through the spoken and written word.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Pick, Click and Give has broadened public awareness of our mission and events. We have attracted new donors, which is very much appreciated. CFB does a lot with a small budget. We have a very dedicated all volunteer board who work very hard to put on reading events for children, celebrate diversity and promote cultural awareness and literacy.Contact
