Spenard Jazz Fest is one of Alaska's best loved musical festivals -
For 19 years SJF has presented hundreds of events main stage concerts, jams,
workshops, public building take overs and house concerts, and together we will make sure that
our great little festival can continue for another 19 years - at least !

MORE ABOUT SPENARD JAZZ FEST
Spenard Jazz Fest artists perform outdoors and indoors, at bars, restaurants, museums, galleries, community centers and private homes
Our goal is to feature as much great Alaskan music as possible during the last week of May and the first week of June every year -
Our national and international star headliners collaborate with local musicians and give workshops to aspiring musicians and to the community at large..

SJF publishes The Alaska REAL BOOK with over 200 (!) musical charts by Alaskan composers,
so that musicians based here can play, write and enjoy great music made in Alaska -

Since the first edition came in 2021 SJF has distributed copies to hundreds of music educators across Alaska and beyond...

In 2026 and 2027 we plan to distribute copies of The Alaska REAL EASY BOOK to school bands - so that young aspiring musicians
can access Alaskan compositions in a way they are used to :
The Alaska REAL EASY BOOK will have 30 EASY ALASKAN JAZZ AND BLUES COMPOSITIONS in Concert treble clef, Concert bass clef, Bb, Eb,
making it possible for students to play the music right off the page !
