Mission Skiku’s mission is to promote cross-country skiing and its wellness benefits by facilitating development of local ski programs in the Alaskan communities we serve. Vision Skiku’s vision is smiling, healthy rural Alaskan skiers enjoying their beautiful local landscapes. Core Purpose Skiku’s core purpose is encouraging and supporting sustainable community-driven ski programs primarily focused on rural Alaska and Alaska Native youth. Alaskans who choose Skiku with their Pick.Click.Give donations show that they know the value healthy activity plays in shaping the lives of youth. Skiku operates in dozens of communities each season, programming that communities themselves are often unable to afford. By supporting Skiku, donors offset the costs of travel, ski equipment, and logistics.
