About
MAJOR GOOD NEWS FOR SEWARD! In late 2022, a NEW ANIMAL SHELTER will be constructed in our little seaside town! The design is near complete, the City authorized the money, the community is 500% in support, it will be away from a residential area and be within walking distance of all our three schools! SOS Pets will furnish as much “soft infrastructure” as we can - cat condos, exam table, vaccine refrigerators, plants, artwork - whatever the City can’t provide. Also, in fall 2021 and winter 2022, SOS Pets paid for spay/neuter surgeries of over a dozen cats abandoned in a horrible trailer park. Awful conditions but successful outcome. As always, the BEST way to reduce animal suffering is to spay and neuter pets. We help by providing reduced-cost spay/neuter certificates to the community. We also offer low-cost microchipping and vaccine clinics and we donate pet food to the local food bank. We are very frugal, all volunteer and dedicated to every pet in our small town.

Pick.Click.Give donors are critical to our success. Small, GIGANTIC, or sensible donations are directly applied to our programs, projects and emergencies. We have no overhead, no office and no paid staff. Also, $3500 per year (average) from compassionate PCG donors gives us confidence to fund our future efforts; we don't have to guess and hope too much. PCG also rallies thoughtful supporters from around the state, something we are not equipped to do. That's a big deal.
