About
Pride Foundation is the only LGBTQ+ community foundation serving the Northwest region of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. We fuel transformational movements to advance equity and justice for LGBTQ+ people in all communities across the Northwest, envisioning a world in which all LGBTQ+ people live safely and openly as our whole selves in the communities we call home.
How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference
Since Pride Foundation's founding in 1985, we’ve invested more than $96 million in LGBTQ+ communities across the Northwest, including Alaska.
With the tremendous generosity of our supporters, Pride Foundation has:
• In our 2024-2026 Community Grants cycle, we awarded 106 multi-year grants to organizations actively addressing the needs of and expanding opportunities for LGBTQ+ people and our families across the Northwest. Our 2024-26 Community Grantees in Alaska include: Alaskan AIDS Assistance Association, AWARE, Choosing Our Roots, Fairbanks Queer Collective, KHaa Tóoch Lichéesh Coalition, Kachemak Bay Family Planning Clinic, NAMI Juneau, Native Movement, Tundra Women's Coalition, and WAVE.
• In 2025, Pride Foundation launched our Fortitude Fund to support organizations across our region to support the most-pressing needs emerging from the current socio-political landscape, awarding $1.75 million to 132 organizations. Our most-recent Fortitude Fund Grantees in Alaska include: Alaskan AIDS Assistance Association, Choosing Our Roots, Drag for a Cause, NAMI Juneau, and Perfectly Queer.
• Our 2025 Scholarships Program awarded nearly $971,000 scholarships to 112 students, providing needed financial and community support to LGBTQ+ students.
• Expanded TRANSform Culture, our community advocacy, research and education (CARE) program, to an ongoing part of our work to elevate the stories and experiences of BIPOC trans and non-binary people across the Northwest. In 2024, we awarded a new TRANSform Fellow from Anchorage, Moeisha Opetaia.
