It is the mission of the Midnight Sun Council, Boy Scouts of America to prepare youth to make ethical & moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Our Oath and Law is our foundation, a call for helpfulness, bravery, common courtesy, and respect among all people. Scouting recognizes and celebrates that the attributes that make us different draw us together as Scouts, citizens, and human beings. Scouting teaches young people to become the best versions of themselves, and to create a better world. Through safe, fun, adventurous and meaningful programs for the betterment of the youth, family, and community.

It is the vision of the Midnight Sun Council to be the leading organization for the development of our youth, our greatest resource by: Providing the Scouting program to all youth regardless of physical, mental, or financial capabilities. Providing a quality program delivered by trained leaders. Providing for a financially sustainable council. Providing properly maintained facilities.The community, parents, schools, and youth in the Midnight Sun Council should think first and foremost of the Boy Scouts of America for: Outdoor activities, civic service, physical and mental fitness, moral character, ethical decision making, vocational exploration, recreational exploration, and proper financial stewardship.
