MY House provides resources for youth who are at risk of becoming homeless, ages 14-24, to a network of caring individuals and agencies able to assist them in becoming self-sufficient. MY House provides case management, transitional housing, outreach, job training, and wrap around services for at-risk youth. Case management provides food, clothing, shower and laundry services, employment assistance, public health care, mediation services, and help with legal issues. In addition, case management administers support and referral for mental health and substance abuse treatment, high school completion and GED courses. We also offer a hot supper from 3-4pm M-F, available to both clients and non-clients with no strings attached. It is staffed by volunteers who both cook and join clients for the meal. Our drop-in center in downtown Wasilla has two on-site job training businesses, Gathering Grounds Cafe and Steam Driven Boutique. Both are staffed by client interns who obtain experience in food handling, customer service and retail sales. With help from our partners, supporters, volunteers, and donors, we empower youth to believe in themselves and their ability to succeed.
