About
"What is the Church doing for young people across Alaska?" In 1992 Covenant Youth of Alaska was formed in responses to this crisis through the Alaska Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Today, CYAK's team spans across the state and the country working in collaboration with churches and ministries to champion the cause of ministry to young people in Alaska. We are committed to the development of youth ministry in Alaska. This looks many different ways. We coordinate a team of youth leaders, churches, and volunteers who focus on ministering to students between the ages of 12 and 25. Our ministry to students ranges from running youth group in a small village, to equipping students for life with vocational training and Christian mentoring. Our partnerships are geared towards keeping youth and young adults within the "Continuum of Care". Whatever stage an individual is in, we want them to be supported and challenged to growth. By the time they turn 25, we want to see young adults transformed by the Gospel and leading their communities towards hope and health.
