Bunnell was created in 1991 by and for artists to sustain artists, cultivate audiences, and engage a vibrant Alaskan community. A powerful force in shaping Alaska's cultural landscape for over 30 years, Bunnell continues to present Visual Art Exhibitions, Artist residencies, Artist in Schools programs, workshops, performances, monthly concerts and artist talks, and more. Bunnell’s expansive programming includes: - A premier Artist in Residence program and Visual Arts Exhibition program. - Artist in Schools programs that service Kenai Peninsula School District schools from Tyonek, to Razdolna, Nanwalek to Seward, Homer, Soldotna, Kenai and more. - Innovative programs that create inclusion, connection, and healing for artists and audiences across the circumpolar north and beyond. - In-person and broadcast monthly music concerts in partnership with KBBI AM 890 in Homer and K201A0 88.1FM in Seward. - Artist development opportunities for emerging and established artists year after year. - Creative placemaking efforts like public art and ephemeral events that partner with Homer’s civic community to address issues like pedestrian safety, community vibrancy, economic development and more.
