Back Country Horsemen of Alaska work to preserve and maintain Alaska’s backcountry horse trails. We volunteer our time and equipment to clear and repair existing trails, build new trail systems, create trailhead facilities, and assist our partner agencies. We are strong advocates for continued equine use on public trails and work to maintain a supportive relationship between all user types. Our youth programs foster the knowledge and desire for the next generation to protect our trails.
