About
The Alaska Mountain Rescue Group (AMRG) provides wilderness search and rescue services. Our volunteers are qualified to perform backcountry medical evacuations, avalanche response, ground search and high-angle technical rescue. AMRG is fully accredited by the national Mountain Rescue Association. When you need us, we deliver: - Four season, day or night operating capability - Ability to operate in-field for 72 hours without resupply - Stand-alone radio communications - ICS / Mission management

Alaskans enjoy the outdoors at every skill level and as a rescue group we respond to a variety of search and rescue incidents from searches for lost hunters, hikers or children to high angle rope rescue, avalanche response and downed aircraft. Our goal is to bring people who are injured or stranded in Alaska’s rugged terrain back to their families.Your donation will help to ensure that our volunteers can receive specialized training. We also maintain an extensive rescue gear cache and equipment trailer that requires regular maintenance and repairs.
For over 50 years AMRG has been serving the people in Alaska with success and great benefit to the community. To continue our mission we are asking for your support so we can be there when you and your family, your friends, or other people are in need of help.
