How Pick.Click.Give. makes a difference

Each dollar you donate to the AKPA through Pick.Click.Give. stays here in Alaska helping thousands of Alaskans and their families impacted by kidney disease. Your donation will make a profound difference in the lives of people who are in tough financial situations and struggling to make ends meet as a result of being sidelined by renal failure.

This year the AKPA is rolling out our Patient Emergency Financial Assistance Program for Alaskans with a diagnosis of end-stage renal disease who are on dialysis or working towards a kidney transplant; or a kidney transplant recipient or living kidney donor candidate. This need based program provides help with critical, short-term emergency needs such as food, dental care, treatment related transportation, emergency living expenses, or medication. Referral from a renal social worker is required to apply for assistance.

Our Mission is to serve kidney patients by providing financial assistance, education and support services. The AKPA also committed to increasing kidney transplants, living and deceased kidney donation (plus all other desperately needed organs); and the prevention of kidney disease in Alaska through public education and free kidney health screenings.
